Circus Artist and Guinness World Record holder

Dr. Stephanie Morphet, known on the stage as The Flying Brain, is America's Indigenous hair hang artist (Shawnee). Her original career was molecular biology, but in four years as a performer she has worked with nationally and internationally touring circuses such as Garden Brothers’ Circus, Great Benjamin’s Circus, The Vampire Circus (Live Entertainment 305), Shoestring Circus, Loomis Bros Circus, Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, Q Productions, and Omnium Circus.
The Flying Brain performs aerial hoop and hula hoops, although her greatest joy is performing and sharing the magical art of hair hang. You may have also seen her on the TV screen as a competitor on season 2 of TBS’ Go-Big Show. In 2022, The Brain co-produced New York City's 1st all Indigenous variety show with Bindlestiff Family Cirkus and acquired a Guinness World Record! She is also a board member of the American Youth Circus Organization /American Circus Educators (AYCO/ACE), as well as founder of the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee. Stephanie is a core team member of the BIPOC Circus Alliance (BCA) and a member of the American Circus Alliance (ACA).
